Timeless produced by Eric Kripke

A secret government organisation constructs a time machine in hopes of manipulating the future to supposedly benefit the future. But before any plans can be followed through, a rogue member of the team steals the time machine, trying to alter his personal life and save his family. To reverse this situation, the institution employs Rufus the pilot, Lucy a historian and Wyatt the soldier to use the first prototype time machine and stop any changes the defected agent makes.

The TV show explores many key moments in history such as Abraham Lincolns assassination, the ‘murder castle’ created by H. H. Holmes, Bonnie and Clyde, the space race and even visiting Harry Houdini. Watching history come to life with witty dialogue and relatable characters creates a fun way to learn history and ponder the possibilities of time travel.

The time travel explored in this show indicates that even the slightest change to history greatly effects the present, as seen in the first episode when the Hindenburg goes down differently, Lucy’s sister is wiped from their reality and never exists again. In doing this the entire timeline was changed and her mother never met her step-father. The significance of these mistakes, makes the time travel used in the show seem legitimate.
